Memory Book / Wedding Guest Book
This past week I had the great pleasure of attending one of my all time great college buddies' wedding in beautiful (and HOT) Las Vegas!

A few months earlier said friend asked me if I would be willing to put together a book that housed all of their prized mementos from their lives together thus far.
I have to admit I found the task a little daunting, because I was used to making albums with my own memories and stories. I had never been handed a box of letters, cards, photos and other memorabilia that belonged to someone else and been given complete creative license over it.
The book would be used not only as a memory book, but a book in which wedding quests would write their congratulatory messages.
After searching, and searching, and searching I finally found the perfect book that would house all of these memories. I remembered an Etsy shop that makes the most amazing books and headed there! Luckily, Peregrine Arts Bindery had a gorgeous book that matched the wedding colors and I was on my way!
What follows are just a few photos of my favorite pages.....
I tired to leave spaces on the pages for either wedding guests to sign or for the couple to include their own comments about the memories and pages.
The couple had ALOT of cards and it took me a long time figuring out how to use them.
I was told I could cut them up and use them however I felt would work best. Many of the personal messages in the cards referred to the wording of the card and I didn't feel right separating the two. I also didn't want to do a page that was just two or three cards because that would take up precious page space.
I think I am pretty much a genius for coming up with this one!!!
This is one page with many cards on it!! I glued down two cards on each side and then glued a card onto each of those cards but not all the way, just the very top of the card is glued so that both cards can still be opened.
Then behind the bottom card is room for another card or in this case, some cut out messages and photos.
Here is the other side and I was able to put another card on this side.
Still the same page!
He's a Ram's fan, She's a Bronco's fan!
An envelope to hide more cards and love notes, I put stuff that was double sided in here. They can continue to add to this.
My favorite! They took a cross country road trip from Oregon to SC. I printed out a US map and marked their journey using purple ribbon. I added some of the ticket stubs from attractions they visited and found the super cute VW bus sticker!!!
They have the CUTEST dog who is a big part of their lives!
I also really loved this idea! I included several pages that will allow the couple to record what they did on each of their wedding anniversaries moving forward. The top of the paper says Wedding Anniversaires and there is a line for each anniversary! How fun it will be for them to look back each year and remember how they celebrated.
I enjoyed making this book so much and received many compliments on it at the wedding. I hope it is something that the happy couple will enjoy for years and years to come.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Boatwright!!!

Disco Glam Wedding
I can't believe I never showed you this!!!!
Last summer one of my best friends got married and she asked me to make her invitations because she couldn't find what she wanted anywhere else.
When she told me she wanted the New York City Skyline with a Disco Ball Moon behind it, I could see why she couldn't find something so unique anywhere else!!
I accepted the challenge!
We selected a black gatefold paper that had a nice shimmer to it.
The invitation was closed with a hand stamped M gold wax seal.
Inside was the invitation and reply card!
Matching New York City Skyline response card.
Love the name font and also the line
"On the MOST IMPORTANT DAY IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD"
Totally unique invitations for an amazing and unique couple.
This was such a fun wedding that was super glamorous and exploding at the seams with Love!!!

Quick and Easy Handmade Centerpieces
So I am going through all of my photos and finding so many photos of things I made and never blogged about!
A friend asked me to help her with some quick and easy centerpieces for
a small shower.
The couple was expecting their second child, a boy!
I made some simple dark and light blue flowers - 2 small and 2 large
The small flowers had little blue baby feet in the center while the large flowers had a photo of the family in the center.
I found some really inexpensive but cute blue ceramic pots at Michaels and added some brown shredded packing material to the pot as a filler.
They were super easy, quick and came out so cute.
