Front Page Baby! (and Custom Christmas Cards!)

I woke up this morning to find out that my Save the Date Luggage Tags were featured on the front page of Etsy at 3am. I am so excited to have something make the front page! I wish I could have seen it first hand but there is a picture of it in the Craftcult vault...

I wanted to show you the custom Christmas cards I made for a sweet little lady in New Mexico!! She wanted something with a southwestern flair and knowing that she LOVES red and green chile this is what I came up with for her:

The inside of the card says Wishing you a Merry Little Christmas (in NM having a dish of food with both Red and Green Chile is called Christmas) and in the left hand corner - Handmade with love by our granddaughter and my website!

Thanks Granny for letting me make your Christmas Cards this year and for asking me to put in some free advertising too! I love you. :)

Have a great day everyone!

Christmas Card Madness

I decided that my Christmas Cards this year should include a picture of my daughter and our dog. I got my daughter dressed up in her Christmas dress and put Snoopy's Christmas bow tie on. I thought with a little turkey I could get the dog to do anything and I wasn't worried at all about my 7 month old who loves the camera. Take a few shots and be done with it - is what I thought!!!

WELL......let me just say I had about 100 shots to choose from and there were probably 3 where the dog and the baby were both looking at the camera.

Here are a few pictures of the actual Christmas cards that I sent out: (I love how they turned out, even if it's not exactly what I had pictured)

(In case you can't read it: Wishing you enough happy times to fill every corner of your home with warm memories)

Here are some Candids from the over 100 pictures I took trying to get the dog and my daughter to look at the camera:

We had fun anyway!! :) Hope you all had a Merry Christmas! Pin It Now!

Merry Christmas

Happy, happy Christmas, that can win us back to the delusions of our childish days; that can recall to the old man the pleasures of his youth; that can transport the sailor and the traveller, thousands of miles away, back to his own fire-side and his quiet home!
~Charles Dickens, The Pickwick Papers, 1836

My countdown to Christmas sort of fell by the wayside and I apologize for that. I have completely wrapped myself up in Christmas this year. It is a very special one as we celebrate for the first time with our daughter. She's too young to understand what is going on but we are sure having a wonderful time and are so very thankful for the amazing gift she is!

I wanted to take this time to send you all a very heartfelt thank you for all of your support. I am so very happy to be doing what I love and enjoy sharing it with you. From the bottom of my heart thank you!
To all of my Etsy friends - I have been so blessed "meeting" you all. You are amazing people, with extraordinary talents and are the nicest, most caring, most giving group of people I have ever met. I look forward to the year ahead and hope we are all blessed with the gift of many many sales.
Have a safe, happy and loving Christmas. I hope you are all surrounded by the people and pets and things that you love.

~ Kirby

PS: My cards are currently featured in the Voter on Etsy!

I am honored to be included with the many amazing items and artists.  3 of my friends are also featured so if you can't vote for me check them out as well!

Most of you know - or have probably figured out that Snoopy is a part of our family. He is the inspiration behind "Happy Hound". You can bet he'll be getting Christmas presents too. We also have two cats that sometimes get lost in the shuffle! Today's countdown theme is all about them...

I have recently joined a great group (team) of people on Etsy who perform Sneak Attacks! Here is the link to find out more information about what a sneak attack is. I encourage you all to join in on the fun. It's a great way to give someone a boost. Last night one of the sneak attack victims made cute items for dogs and cats.
